Beckton & Royal Docks Children's Centre actively support parents and carers wishing to get back into employment or training. Newham Workplace is committed to helping Newham residents back into employment benefiting from the local regeneration of the borough. Workplace offers a comprehensive service to support the needs of local people. In addition to employment support, they also offer support that range from housing benefit and debt advice, supported employment (a team that supports candidates who may have a physical or learning disability) and a specialised young persons team.
At Beckton & Royal Docks Children's Centre, you will often find our Workplace Engagement Officer attending many of our events ready to support you back into employment or training. Alternatively you can speak to a member of the BaRD CC team who can complete a referral form to Workplace who will then contact you to arrange for an initial interview.
If you are not yet ready to return to work or feel you need further training such as English Classes to build on your confidence then please do enquire at the centre to book onto classes. English classes are every Thursday 1pm-3pm during term time. Classes are free to attend and we have a creche available if needed.
